(d/b/a ATS RheoSystems®). Specific terms of the transaction were not announced. Since its founding in 1938 by scientist, inventor and educator Dr. Michael R. Cannon, CANNON® Instrument Company has earned international acclaim for the quality of its viscosity measurement instrumentation and certified reference standards. The company's longstanding emphasis on production of premiere-quality test equipment has kept CANNON at the cutting edge of research and development for viscosity instrumentation serving a variety of industries - including petroleum and petrochemical, polymer, pharmaceutical, medical, foods, paints and coatings. Over the past 20+ years, ATS RheoSystems, with a highly-trained staff of qualified expert rheologists, has offered comprehensive analytical instrumentation, rheological consulting and contract materials testing, test method and applications development, comprehensive hands-on training, and technical support and services. Areas of specialization include rheological instrumentation and measurements using both research level rheometers and high-end viscometers, capillary rheometers, dynamic shear rheometers (DSR) for asphalt testing and dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA).
